For a while now, I’ve been deeply experimenting with AI video to master prompt engineering across different platforms to find the best in each one.
It takes countless coffee hours and tokens to truly understand how each AI interprets facial expressions, anatomy, action, lighting, camera movement, dialogue—and above all, how it analyzes and translates an art context piece. That’s why good books and a touch of film art history can help, as designing rich layered prompts is essential. A.I. is like a Djinn, you need to be specific and be clear on what you want.
This time, I chose a bold artsy concept and picked three film movements: the French Nouvelle Vague of Godard and Truffaut, Italian Neorealism from Fellini, De Sica, and Rossellini, and the American New Hollywood of Hopper, Nichols, and Coppola. I wanted pure, raw black-and-white, classic yet daring compositions—all created with AI. I call it “Nouvelle Wave”: a playful collection of scenes in every style.
